- TerraScan selected for Microsoft Front Runner Program
TerraScan Inc. today announced it will launch a new application using Microsoft SQL Server 2008, earning the company Front Runner status from Microsoft Corp. T2 TerraScan in combination with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 helps enable customers to combine simple workflow with powerful tools for managing appraisal, assessment, and tax collection. SQL Server 2008 is the next-generation data management and analysis software that will deliver increased scalability, availability and security to enterprise data and analytical applications while making them easier to create, deploy and manage.

- Nebraska Assessor Workshop
A Nebraska Assessor's Workshop was held in Kearney, Nebraska, at the Holiday Inn Conference Center on September 17th through the 20th. There was a TerraScan Usergroup meeting on the afternoon of the 18th.

The Missouri Annual Cities conference took place in Kansas City, Missouri on the 9th - 12th of September. TerraScan attended with information regarding the new GDoc software.

The Washington State Association of County Assessors' conference was held at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla on August 6th through the 9th.

- TerraScan Washington User Group Meeting
TerraScan has invited both Washington Assessor and Treasurer Offices to join them this year in Wenatchee, at the Wenatchee Convention Center. The focus of this conference will be on the new T2 software. There will be a little bit of presentation, discussion, and training. Plus you can get your hands on the software.

TerraScan attended the Washington State Association of County Treasurers Conference as an exhibitor. We introduced our new REET Management product, with demonstrations and question and answer sessions. We also spent time talking to Treasurers and other employees that use TerraScan in the County Treasurers office.

- South Dakota Assessor's Conference
TerraScan attended and exhibited at the South Dakota Association of Assessing Officers conference at the Ramkota in Aberdeen South Dakota. A Users Group meeting was held for Assessors and the new T2 software was presented. Discussions were held on a number of current software issues, with a few changes to software decided.

- MapSifter 7.0 released
MapSifter 7.0 has been released. This update includes map history, dynamic zoom, and the introduction of a "mini" property card. In addition, the navigation database can now use SQL Server.

- Washington Assessors / Treasurer Association
Two weeks in Washington. First the Assessors' Association conference ran from June 12-15. Then the Treasurer's Association conference ran from June 19-23. Bremerton's new conference center was the perfect place to be stuck for two weeks. In between, Bill's family came up and spend some time in Seattle, Lake Quinalt, and at the shore.

- T2 architecture passes platform tests.
TerraScan's new software architecture has passed the Microsoft Platform Tests for Windows 2003 Server and SQL Server 2005. These tests were conducted by the independent testing firm, Veritest.

- Whitman County Washington selects TerraScan
The Board of Whitman County Commissioners voted to select TerraScan as the software provider for the Assessor and Treasurer offices. This will include tools for appraisal, assessment administration, tax collection, distribution, permitting and inspection, and GIS integration.
