Permitting & Inspection The Permitting / Inspection module of GDoc is the main piece of software used in the Building / Planning Department offices. This application gives public users the ability to apply for Permits over the internet.

Once a permit application has been submitted, a staff member is notified and the permit approval process can begin. This system can be run in a totally "paperless" office.

Building permits in this system are associated with an address or parcel. This allows a user to attach scanned sketches, CAD drawings, digital photos, and other types of files to a specific permit. This information can then be seen online through our Web Mapping application, MapSifter. A few examples of Events that can be tracked:
