The city of Ritzville is about an hour outside of the greater Spokane metro area and the Spokane International Airport. It appears as an oasis in the midst of wheat fields for miles in every direction and is the county seat for Adams County. The City of Ritzville was incorporated for the first time in the last few months of 1888 under the laws of Washington Territory. Ritzville operates under the laws of the State of Washington applicable to a second class city with a mayor-council form of government and was incorporated in July of 1890. Adams County is the largest employer in the region, and Ritzville is located adjacent to Interstate 90 between Spokane and Moses Lake, Washington.
